Hey y’all!
It’s been quite some time since I tried any new skin care products. Over the past few months, my general health has been going through some changes ( nothing too serious so don’t be alarmed 🙂 ) and as a result of that my skin has been going through it y’ all! I have been blessed to have had overall good skin throughout my life. Barely a blemish… EVER! Until recently my face has been experiencing said blemishes, dullness and is just overall BLAH. So, I decided to test a few different products out to try and figure out a new routine to get my skin back on track- starting with these two Tatcha products.
Now, these products ARE NOT products I would ever purchase on my own simply because of the price. But the Sephora VIB sale and the travel sizes of these two products made this possible(LOL) so thank you Sephora! Let’s get to reviewing!
Tatcha Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser:
This is a gel cleanser product which is ( as I’ve been told) great for the oily /combination skin that I have.
The Packaging:
The soft teal colour of the packaging is appealing to the eye. What I don’t care for in this product’s container, is that I’m not a huge fan of the squeeze bottle top. The hole is so small that you have to give it a good squeeze to get the product out and some times too much product comes out.
The Product:
I absolutely love how much of a gentle exfoliant this product is! You most definitely can feel it breaking down the debris on your skin but it isn’t harsh. It also leaves your skin feeling ever so soft. A little bit of this product goes a long way. It has a light, fresh and fruity scent that is very appealing to my nose!
Results on my skin:
I used this product for about 2 weeks consistently on my skin and honestly, I didn’t notice that huge of a difference on my skin except I did notice that I was slightly less oily.
Cost:
A 5 oz bottle of this product will run you… $49.00 ( Canadian Currency) Yikes…
Is it Worth The Hype:
No. And the price of this product solidifies this for me
Tatcha Water Cream
So many beauty influencers swear by this cream so I decided to give it try! I truly wanted to know what all the hype was about…
The Packaging:
Once again the teal packaging with gold accents was really appealing to the eye. I liked that this cream came in jar form. It really allowed for the careful distribution of the product.
The Product:
The thin water like texture was very appealing to me. A small amount of the product was able to effectively moisturize my entire face without adding excess oil to my skin.
Results on my skin:
Ok, I loved this product! While I have combination skin with the majority of oils settling on my t-zone, my skin still had the ability to look dull and sallow. This product really helped bring life back to my skin! I felt comfortable enough to go bare-faced after a few weeks of consistent use.
Cost: A 1.70z jar of this will cost you $89.00 ( Canadian) YIKES!
Is it Worth The Hype:
Yes! I love how it worked for my skin. However, the price point certainly kept me on the hunt for products that are more cost effective. (stayed tuned)
I was able to purchase the travel sized duo of these products for only $33.00( Canadian) at my local Sephora.

Til next time!
