Today’s style post features pearls and polka dots! Keep reading to see how I styled these two elements…

Today I was feeling very ladylike! I was up early this morning catching up on “Coronation Street” ( a British soap opera.. don’t laugh at me LOL) and one of the episodes featured a scene with some ladies dressed up having tea!  So that inspired my style for today, and what better way to channel your inner lady, than to throw on a fabulous set of pearls!

The pearls I chose were gifted to me in a set ( earrings and a necklace completed the set) by my dear friend as a bridesmaid gift ( Thanks Tova!)  The pearls are freshwater pearls, in. a beautiful pearl white shade. Truly timeless pieces and I absolutely love them.

I paired the pearls with these fabulous  black and white polka dot shoes that I took from my godmother years ago! We were hanging out in her room and I saw these in her closet, and knew I had to have them! Thanks Sis, G 🙂 . This shoe has a 4 inch silver stiletto heel and a pointed toe which just puts this pair of shoes in a league of its own.

I wanted to keep my outfit itself simple so that the shoes and pearls could stand out on their own! So I chose a black peplum top and a black pencil skirt. The skirt is from Forever 21 and the shirt is so ancient , I couldn’t remember where I got it if I tried! Here’s a link to a similar top:

I kept my makeup fresh faced with eyeliner( Maybelline unstoppable), Concealer (Clinique) Lips ( currant lip liner and sanctuary by Kat Von D) and Powder ( Mac NW55)
