Hey guys,

I just wanted to jump on here real quick to share a song that has been on my heart for the past few weeks.  As a Christian, this weekend  I am observing Easter.  To me Easter is my absolute favorite holiday… yes even more than Christmas!  I just am totally enthralled with the fact that this man called Christ would sacrifice his life in such a brutal way.. for someone like me! Many will ( and have) argued with me saying that there wouldn’t be a savior to sacrifice if there wasn’t a Christmas. Which I agree with as well . But its just being privy to the fact he accepted the fate he was dealt, willing and humbly for someone like me.. It’s a humbling thought and I  am forever grateful!

Too often we see holidays that were created to observe and commemorate Christ have been overrun by commercialization. I pray that one day we will return these holidays to the sacredness they deserve. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the hustle and bustle and gift giving of Christmas and I am not opposed to dyeing Easter eggs and eating a Cadbury egg or two, but… if all those things were taken away, my heart would still give glory where glory is due!  Check out this song  ( and lyrics) Forever by Kari Jobe.
