Hey y’all!

Quick blog post today!

I hope this Monday is finding you well and in good spirits! I know I am in extremely good spirits today because finally after a LONG and drawn out winter season, it appears that Spring has finally sprung! The sun was shining, the clouds were hiding and it was an all around beautiful day!

It actually was a beautiful weekend weather wise and during this weekend, I had an opportunity to spend time with some pretty amazing people! Now over the past couple of weeks, I have been pondering the question, ” Do I really let the people in my life know how much they really mean to me?”

A few weeks back I went to my bf’s dads birthday party and his grandma was singing a song in tribute to him ( her son) for his birthday. The basic gist of the song was “Don’t give me roses when I’m gone”  meaning , don’t wait until I’m gone to appreciate me ! ( this rendition was actually like 10 minutes long….. awesome song and even more awesome delivery!  😛 )

As I’m getting older, and as someone with older parents ( my parents had me later in life)  I am realizing that they aren’t as spry as they used to be. Sometimes you take them for granted and always expect them to be there. They won’t always be there, so take time and appreciate them while you still have them.

I have amazing friends.  I know I have spoken about them countless times here on the blog but maaaaannnnnnnn….. my friends are some of the most kind- hearted, loving people ever. Not only are they there for me when I need them, but they are there for my family as well. I wish everyone could have friends like mine and I if haven’t told you before, I appreciate you!!

These past few weeks I have also had time to really reflect on God. “Do I really give him His roses?”  I asked myself, and although I  think I do, I do believe He deserves more than I could ever could give! Take a moment each day and just thank Him! Don’t ask Him for anything! Just give Him thanks!

Are there any people in your life who are overdue some roses?  Make it a priority to make sure they get their roses while they are still here to enjoy them!

Finally, to my faithful readers ( day one readers and new friends) thank you from the bottom of my heart! All I have achieved on this blog is because of your support! If I had a million roses to give you I would! Love you all!!
