What really inspired this blogging journey…

Hey guys

Now that i’ve gotten my feet wet, and kind of figured out this ‘blogging thing i figured i would write about what really inspired me to take this blogging journey. Let’s start by saying 2014 was truly a whirlwind year. It was filled with many happy moments yet still it was a very trying time for me. My father experienced a near death situation ( we thank God for His mercy) which brought to light to some still unexplained health concerns and i had to really re-evaluate my life and its purpose. What am I here for? What is it that you want from me God?

We’ve all heard the term ” having a come to Jesus moment” ( Maybe?) The definition of a come to Jesus moment is defined by urbandictionary.com as An epiphany in which one realizes the truth of a matter; a sudden, intuitive perception of or insight into the reality or essential meaning of something; coming clean and admitting failures; realizing the true weight or impact of a negative situation or fact; acknowledgment that one must get back to core values; moment of realization; an aha moment; moment of decision; moment of truth; critical moment; moment of reassessment of priorities; turning point; life-changing moment.(http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=come-to-Jesus+moment)

I can truly say I had many a “come to Jesus moment” in the year 2014 and as time goes on during this blogging journey i’ll go into more detail 🙂

So as i was contemplating starting this thing i was browsing a friends website ( shout out to globalwarmingtees) where she and her business partner make really thought provoking socially conscious tees. I came across one with the slogan “Love Them Anyway”. That slogan really resonated with me so i purchased the tee! A short while later i came cross a famous poem written by Mother Teresa which completely co-signed the message of the t-shirt and totally confirmed what i felt led to do! I’m 100 percent a believer that if you ask God for an answer in earnest, he’ll answer you! So here i am!

Anybody who knows me, knows that my personality leads ~~me to love on those who love me and forget about those who don’t!~~ But… i know in my heart of hearts that’s no way to live. It’s my goal to be a better version of me in 2015.Ya’ll don’t trip! I’m saved but i’m not perfect! I’m a work in progress!

So as i conclude this blog there are just a few things i want to remember while I’m on this journey. There is a song by Israel Houghton that seems to be my theme song this year already and some of the lyrics read :
