( Yes I know it’s Monday but I fell asleep while editing yesterday and then had a visit from my godparents so…… yeah! Excuse my tardiness! Enjoy xo)
Just wanted to quickly share a quick outfit I wore to work this past week. I wanted to be super casual with a little bit of a glam effect. If you know me, I may wear a super casual outfit, but I use accessories and makeup to kind of pull it all together!
The weather has been all over the place where I live. Pretty cold in the morning hours, blazing hot in the mid day and cool in the evening. So, how on earth do you dress with such temperamental weather? The answer my friends is layers!
I started off my outfit with my go to comfy piece: black leggings! My current favorite tights come from a store called Garage Clothing. These leggings are made out of a shiny material which allows for the opportunity to dress them up and dress them down. They retail for $19.90 ( Canadian dollar) but at Garage ( and on their website) there is usually a sale for buy one get on 50 percent off! I took advantage of that sale and got myself 4 pairs! ( lol don’t judge me! 🙂 ) Grab yourself a pair or two you won’t regret it! ( click here)
To my outfit I added a black and red buffalo plaid shirt dress from Forever 21. Although this is a dress, it’s not a piece I would wear without something like a legging or a pair of shorts underneath. This shirt retails for $19.99 ( Canadian Currency) and is still available on the Forever 21 website. This shirt is perfect for the cooler moments of the day. It’s warm but it is lightweight.
Next, I layered this shirt with my trusty faux leather jacket from Zara. Retail price $49.90 ( Canadian Dollars) This jacket I purchased back in December and is still available on the Zara website. I know this because I lost mine on Friday…. and repurchased on Sunday morning…lol ( yes this jacket is everything to me and I NEEEED it in my wardrobe lol)
Finally, to finish off this outfit I paired it with some black Nike Air Huaraches. I purchased these at my local Footlocker for about $160 ( Canadian dollars) I usually don’t wear running shoes. I’m more of a dressy flat kind of girl. Aside from my 2 pairs of Jordans and a pair of Nike free runs for the gym/exercise, my running shoe game is not up!( lol) However, this summer I want to change that! They were a little pricey but when I put my feet into them, all that buyers remorse went out the window! Like walking on a cloud, and so multi purpose! I can wear them with super casual outfits or even dress them up! If you are in the market for new comfortable running shoes, check these ones out.
To finish off this outfit, I threw on a simple black felt floppy hat and a simple gold choker necklace! Kept my makeup super simple with black eyeliner and a red lip ( Beso by Stila)
Have a happy styling week!
