Hey guys!

So…. my friend invited me to her Christmas banquet MONTHS ago. Guess which wise person decided to wait until the very last minute to look in my closet to find something to wear? This smarty pants. So you can imagine my dilemma when I approached my closet and discovered to my dismay… I had NOTHING to wear! (LOL.. ok nothing that I felt like recycling to wear again. ) So off to the mall I went on Friday afternoon after work, with 2 hours to find something to wear, get it home and get ready!

I tried a number  of different stores to no avail. So as a last resort I stumbled into trusty old Forever 21( seriously this place needs to sponsor me) and I wasn’t finding anything. I was on my way out the door and… there she was in  all her sparkly goodness ! I picked it up and ran to the change room and voila! It fit and off I was to get ready! Here is the dress:

The dress came separate with the intention of the buyer putting a body suit or dress underneath.  Here is how I styled it for the event:

I paired the mesh dress with a black tank top and a black pencil skirt underneath. I added very minimal jewellery  as the dress is quite bold. My trusty gold cross/baby ring necklace that I never take off as well as some dangly silver costume jewellery earrings gifted to me by a friend as a bridesmaid gift.  I added my favourite booties from Payless Shoes and that was my outfit!

This dress retails for $39.90. I don’t know if it was on sale or if the cashier rang it up wrong but I only paid $24.99 for it! 🙂
