Hey guys,
I’m back again with another beauty blog. It’s been a long time simply because I went on a product buying hiatus in order to A: use the products that I already have and B: save money! But then, good old Christmas crept in and along with Christmas comes gift cards and VIB Sephora deals!
I decided to bite the bullet and finally try out a couple of high end foundations. I have been blessed with fairly clear skin for the majority of my life so foundation was never a product I felt I needed to spend a lot of money on. I would stick to a drugstore brand (Covergirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous in 320) for the rare occasion that I needed to wear foundation. However, as the years have passed me by, my skin has changed and sometimes I need a little more makeup to cover up the tiredness!( Life! lol)
After hours of watching YouTube reviews and tutorials, I picked a few high(er) end foundations to try. Over the next little while I will share my thoughts on each. Today I want to talk about the Nars: All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation.
I went to Sephora and had the color match process done on me. That was a complete fail. Every shade they brought was either too light or just had a little something off about it. So a friend of mine who is the same complexion as me had tried this particular foundation in the shade “Benares” and it looked flawless on her. So I picked up a sample from Sephora to try and I was SOLD!
Here are my pros and cons for this product:
Pros:
- Medium /Full coverage: a little product goes a long way as well
- Good for all skin types: I have combination skin and I find it wears well in all sections of my face
- Formulated without parabens
- Highly pigmented
- Long lasting
- Easy distribution: this new packaging has a pump dispenser now
Cons:
- The packaging ( bottle) is glass which makes for hard transport while travelling
- Very thin consistency
- Expensive ( retailing for $60 dollars Canadian)
- No SPF protection
- Must set it with a powder for best results

Would I purchase this foundation again? Absolutely! Is it my favourite? No probably not,but I do enjoy the coverage it gives me. It works for my needs. It’s good for basic everyday coverage and is easily to build for more glam events.
Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts?
Let me know!

xoxo
